Last Tuesday saw the return of the GM&Co Charity Speed Quiz for the second year running, in aid of the Russell Hall Hospital Baby Bereavement Suite Charity Appeal. With an exceptional turn out, including the GM team, clients, family & friends and a huge shout out to the thirteen members of the NHS maternity team at the Russell Hall Hospital who joined us, along with their family and friends, is most certainly a 'year to remember'.
Forming two quiz teams, Holly (Head of Maternity & Baby Bereavement Midwife), Claire (Head of Midwifery), Katie (Matron for Maternity) and Nithee (Head of Fundraising).
Holly delivered an incredible heart warming speech as to the Charity Appeal, explaining the need and importance of a second Baby Bereavement Suite at the Russell Hall Hospital. Fundraising activities, such as this, go towards creating the second suite and to access specialist equipment and care. This dedicated space provides parents and families with the sensitive care and support they need, providing keep sakes and to build precious memories, when tragically faced with a loss of a baby.
Our fundraising activities carried on through the evening, with a raffle, auction and games, including a prize for the best quiz team name.

Somers Sports and Social, Halesowen, served an amazing array of food, including one of the most recognised dish from the Black Country, Faggots and peas! They also kindly donated to our raffle prizes and we must say a huge 'thank you' to those who donated prizes, Cadbury's World, West Midlands Safari & Leisure Park, Odeon Cinema (Merry Hill), Steve Saul of Route 39 (Wolverhampton), Cupcake Daze (Halesowen), Arch Tea Room (Netherton), Baked In Netherton, Dudley Town Hall and finally Alex Beckett. The local support has truly been fantastic, thank you all for helping raise monies for this incredible cause.
